So you’ve got a flat tire, but there’s just a tiny pinhole in the tube… Do you replace the tube?
No! Just put a patch on it. Patches these days, whether they are the original ones that require gluing or the stick-on ones, are good quality, and might even make the tube stronger in the patched area.
So the only downside is a couple extra grams. The tube should be fine to ride for years.
