Cancer Strikes Everywhere August 23, 2007

While Lance Armstrong is the most prominent cancer survivor (at least in pro cycling,) the reality is that cancer is striking everywhere, everyday.

Hopefully with this publicity, plus the emergence of blogging and other social media, we can focus more on cancer research.

It’s amazing some of the stories that are out there. Just yesterday I found a blog called “My battle with testicular cancer.” Everything was going fine for this man and his dogs, even though he had had a head-on collision with a car while driving a motor scooter! Then 2006, and cancer, came knocking.

I can’t imagine something like that happening. It seems unreal, I’m sure it would take a while to sink in.

However, if you keep reading and go through other posts, it can really help. There is a huge list of resources dealing with cancer, along with posts full of great advice for preventing and treating cancer.

For example, I really liked the note about dark fruits and veggies fighting colon cancer. Yet another reason to add them to your diet!
